Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Nigeria Stocks Screener. By creating an account or using the platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Nigeria Stocks Screener ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the website at topchor.com and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By registering for an account, accessing the Platform, or clicking "I agree" where that option is made available to you, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform.
2. Description of Services
Nigeria Stocks Screener provides:
- A stock screening tool enabling users to filter Nigerian Exchange (NGX)-listed securities by price, volume, fundamental metrics, and technical indicators.
- Watchlist functionality allowing users to monitor selected stocks.
- Preset screens allowing users to store and reload filter configurations.
- Daily-updated market data sourced from publicly available NGX data.
- CSV export of screener results (available on applicable plans).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must register for an account. When you do, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that breach this rule.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable U.S. federal or state law.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Platform in bulk without prior written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or its databases.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform.
- Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or any software that could harm the Platform or other users.
- Resell or redistribute Platform data or features without express written permission.
- Use automated tools or scripts to make excessive requests that degrade Platform performance.
Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.
5. Investment Disclaimer
Nigeria Stocks Screener is a data tool, not a financial adviser. Nothing on this Platform constitutes investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or a solicitation to invest. All information is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Investing in securities involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Before making any investment decision, you should:
- Conduct your own independent research and due diligence.
- Consult a qualified, licensed investment adviser registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or your local regulatory body.
- Consider your own financial situation, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
We are not responsible for any investment losses incurred as a result of using this Platform.
6. Data Accuracy
We strive to provide accurate and timely market data. However, we do not warrant that any data on the Platform is complete, accurate, timely, or free of errors. Market data may be delayed, adjusted, or unavailable for certain securities.
You acknowledge that:
- NGX data is sourced from publicly available information and may not match official NGX records in real time.
- Technical indicators are calculated using standard algorithms applied to available price data and may differ from other platforms.
- You will verify any data independently before making decisions based on it.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the compilation of market data — is the property of Nigeria Stocks Screener or its data suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
User-generated content (watchlist names, saved screen names) remains your property. By creating it on our Platform, you grant us a licence to store and display it to you as part of the service.
8. Plans & Payments
Nigeria Stocks Screener currently offers a Free plan. A Pro plan is in development. When paid plans become available:
- Subscription fees will be clearly displayed before purchase.
- Payments will be processed via a secure third-party payment provider.
- Refund and cancellation terms will be stated at the time of purchase.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Early sign-ups may be eligible for promotional pricing. Details will be communicated by email.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for:
- Violation of these Terms.
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Requests from law enforcement or government authorities.
- Extended inactivity (with prior notice by email).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable U.S. law, Nigeria Stocks Screener shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or investment returns.
- Damages arising from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in market data.
- Damages arising from temporary or permanent Platform unavailability.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $20.00, whichever is greater.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Nigeria Stocks Screener is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction within the United States. You consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users with at least 14 days' notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after that period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
